Are you one of those happy to have left school, so they aren’t forced to learn anymore? Or are you the opposite and one of those who can’t stop learning new things and want to know a wide variety of topics? Both types are equally good in my opinion as far as being happy with your career and education. Often, the problems begin when the job gets boring, and everything seems to be predictable. Especially if you want to change your situation and feel trapped and something seems to hold you back. Also, the circumstances in your working environment can change, and the current job doesn’t make you happy anymore. Then, every day is like the other, and we want to have more meaning in our lives and wish to change the situation. Sometimes a change is needed to get out of the hamster wheel, and sometimes this requires a change of skills or learning new competencies.
I love learning new topics. I studied multiple subjects and earned some degrees, and still, I’m not done with learning because I want to know more.
learning how to learn and Find your purpose to stay happy
The main thing that allows changes in your life and doing something meaningful is to get clear about your purpose. Then, staying happy comes along with the process. Ask yourself the question of what it is that you want to do. You can brainstorm the answers to get an overall picture of possibilities. I give you a few examples: Maybe you love baking and want to open a cupcake store, or you like writing stories, and you’d want to become an author.
The good news is you can learn every skill you need for realising your purpose. If you always wanted to write a book and fear you don’t have the skills, get out and find a writing course or join a writer’s community. You can learn to be an author and live your dream! These are good examples of how learning can improve your life and happiness by creating new possibilities.
You can even learn how to find your purpose – there are so many ways and possibilities today. If you want to know how to stay happy, finding your purpose is a good starting point.
To maintain the feeling of purpose and happiness, it is excellent never to stop learning. There are so many possibilities for learning something new every day if you stay open-minded and curious.
knowing how to learn helps you to become and stay happy
Learning new things brings new perspectives into your life, and learning helps you grow personally. Our brain loves stimulus and exercise just like our body does. Studying and learning new things are good exercises for our brain. Search for a variety of methods and motivations. For example, senseless repetitions aren’t fun and make us happy, but the type and new experiences do. So, try to learn something new every week, no matter how small it is.
To stay happy in your working environment, you can learn new skills. Especially if you are doing your job for a long time and it gets boring or isn’t challenging anymore. For example, there are many online possibilities to learn and improve your productivity. You find more on productivity in this article.
Learning makes changes possible
Changes happen in new environments, and in new situations, you have to learn new things to adapt. The faster you learn, the smoother the transition. You can increase your learning outcome with robust (study) habits and routines. If you are open to further education and studying new topics, you are more flexible regarding your job. Maybe you qualify for a promotion or get a bonus. In any case, learning pays off.
how to learn the Mindset for change
Not only life-long learning is essential for changes but also the right mindset. Build a positive attitude for changes by focusing on the positive aspects. Don’t be afraid of changes because changes are always opportunities rather than dangers. Be curious instead of being anxious. Questions to ask yourself: What benefits can I expect from the change? What can I achieve through the process of change?
With a positive attitude towards the future and changes and an open mind for learning, you can choose the life you desire.
Important notice: it is your choice to look at your future or changes, so choose wisely!
